Epicore Products for Agriculture

Modern farming practices call for new solutions to a wide range of problems. Epicore biotechnology provides useful tools to address these problems. Epicore microbial products digest components of animal manure to liquefy and to reduce odor and hazardous ammonia. Its foliar plant treatment is a bio-catalytic formulation that stimulates healthy plant growth.

Animal Manure Liquefier & Deodorizers

EPIZYM-AW and EPIZYM-PIGS animal manure bacterial inoculants are balanced microbial and enzyme ecosystems designed to liquefy and deodorize animal waste. The microbes in EPIZYM-AW and EPIZYM-PIGS grow in the waste to dominate the existing microbial flora. These microorganisms are very effective at digesting manure to yield more fluid and less odoriferous slurry in channels, holding tanks and lagoons. By digesting manure components that cause thickening of the slurry, EPIZYM-AW and EPIZYM-PIGS improve pumpability and reduce crust formation. These microbes and the enzymes they secrete work directly on the manure to change the molecular structure of odor causing ammonia, amines, indole and skatole.

PHYTOZYM 2-2-2 Liquid Foliar Spray and Seed Treatment

A stabilized biochemical concentrate containing microbial extracts, chelated micronutrients, essential plant nutrients and trace minerals. With its chelating and organic complexing ingredients, PHYTOZYM 2-2-2 enhances the penetration of nutrients and other growth stimulating factors through the barrier layer of foliar, stem and seed parts of plants. Chelated micronutrients are more available to plants than micro-nutrients bound to soil particles. PHYTOZYM 2-2-2 contains cellular extracts from selected microorganisms, including marine algae, that supply unidentified growth factors that stimulate the natural growth processes of plants.

Proven Benefits in Potato Trials

The benefits of PHYTOZYM 2-2-2 were demonstrated in recent European trials on maincrops for prepacks, crisping and chipping. Yields increased in both tuber numbers and marketable potatoes with the application of 1 litre per acre in 75 litres of water.

EPITHATCH Biological Thatch Digestor

A potent, dried biological formulation containing beneficial cellulose-digesting microorganisms, enzymes and essential microbial nutrients. EPITHATCH biologically decomposes dead grass rapidly and efficiently without harming living grass. The microorganisms selected for use in EPITHATCH were isolated from rich, productive farm soils and are completely harmless to humans, animals and living plants.

One of the most deadly silent enemies of luxurious green lawns is "thatch" or dead, dried grass, remaining from previous season's growth. Because of its inert, space-filling characteristics, thatch prevents the efficient transfer of both water and air to the root zone of lawns. This blocking action of thatch also prevents applied fertilizers and plant nutrients from reaching the roots of grass. Lawns smothered by thatch provide the ideal environment for destructive insects and unwanted plant diseases to thrive and cause significant damage to healthy lawns.

EPITHERM Microbial Ecosystem for Composting Organic Waste

A dried, buff-colored powder, dispersible in liquids, which contains a balanced blend of potent enzymes in combination with a unique microbial ecosystem isolated from forest soil. EPITHERM contains a group of thermophilic microorganisms which are capable of liquefying and digesting all forms of organic waste, such as animal and poultry droppings, domestic garbage, dead vegetation and similar types of refuse from homes, food processing plants, feed lots, stockyards, canneries and fisheries. EPITHERM, due to its concentration of natural thermophilic microorganisms, is capable of reducing the organic matter in garbage disposal dumps, under aerobic conditions, to a non-septic, deodorized humus on an economic basis in days instead of weeks or months.
